Wed Movie- The Remains of the Day
Wednesday Movie
The Remains of the Day
A movie I watched on satellite TV over the weekend. These days movies are made for speed and activity to maintain the attention of the viewer. However, even though I found it boring many years ago
I now enjoyed it because it took its time to tell a story of a novel written by Kazou Izhiguro (from Nagasaki, Japan - moved to England in 1960 and became a English Citizen in 1982).
I now enjoyed it because it took its time to tell a story of a novel written by Kazou Izhiguro (from Nagasaki, Japan - moved to England in 1960 and became a English Citizen in 1982).
Anthony Hopkins, Emma Thomson, Christopher Reeve and a young Hugh Grant (before being typecast), an incredible cast.
The story revolves around the head butler, Mr. Stevens (Hopkins) from a period in the 1930's to 1950's. His sense of duty and professionalism and how it effected his relationships (with people he served, his father and love interest). A very touching and moving movie if you enjoy following a movie that even allows you to enjoy the English countryside.
Rating - Good - well made didn't fall asleep during the movie (Unlike the first time I watched it).
MY RATINGS
- Shite - this was inspired when I was watching "The Medallion" with Jackie Chan at the Cinema with Benjy (convinced me to go with him) and after 15 minutes turned to Benjy and said "Ooi Benjy this movie is shit".
- OKlah - watch it also ok, don't watch oso ok, won't die!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rickrolling is an Internet meme[1][2] typically involving the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up". The meme is a bait and switch: a person provides ahyperlink that they claim is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Astley video. The link can be masked or obfuscated in some manner so that the user cannot determine the true destination of the link without clicking. When a person clicks on the link and is led to the web page, he or she is said to have been "rickrolled". Rickrolling has extended beyond web links to playing the video or song disruptively in other situations, including public places;[2] this culminated when Astley and the song made a surprise appearance in the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade,[1] a televised event with tens of millions of viewers.

Its a Turdday - Definition of Poop
Its a another Thursday!!! So I was curious and did some research of the word 'poop' which came back some interesting results which of course came the obvious and a part of a
Wikipedia
Poop deck From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Poop deck of a model of the Soleil-Royal, as seen from the forecastleIn naval architecture, a poop deck is a deck that forms the roof of a cabin built in the aft(rear) part of the superstructure of a ship.
The name originates from the French word for stern, la poupe, from Latin puppis. Thus the poop deck is technically called a stern deck, which in sailing ships was usually elevated as the roof of the stern or "after" cabin, also known as the "poop cabin". In sailing ships, with the helmsman at the stern, an elevated position was ideal for bothnavigation and observation of the crew and sails.
The fantail is an overhang at the extreme rear of the ship, aft of the poop deck and closer to level with the main deck.[1][2] On a stern wheel steamboat, the fantail supports the large paddle wheel and is typically angled upwards so the shaft of the paddle wheel can sit higher than the main deck. On some steamboats, the extreme end of the fantail supports "monkey" rudders that mimic the operation of the main rudders in order to provide additional steering control.
On modern, motorized warships, the ship functions which were once carried out on the poop deck have been moved to the bridge, usually located on the superstructure in the center of the ship or the island on the starboard side in the case of aircraft carriers.
In nautical parlance, "to be pooped" means to have a wave come over the stern from abaft.
To have a wave go over the rear end of the ship is "to be pooped"!!!!!!
Urban Dictionary defines it as;
poop 5292 up, 679 down Bodily waste of varying color, viscosity, shape, odor and texture. Usually exits the body through your pooper, speed, noise and degree of pain may vary depending on what you ate.even the soda at taco bell makes me poop.poop images
gross ass poop 2. poop 3062 up, 850 down a large, atrocious enormous blob of brownish stuff that comes out of your ass in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes crawling out, other times catapulting out, creating huge splashes. The poop shot out of my butt at rapid fire speed.
As the poop hit the water, it was immediately lost to sight.3. Poop 2521 up, 466 down Abbr.

Wed Movie - Rango
Wednesday Movie
Rango
It was my son's 8th birthday and after dinner we went as a family to watch Rango, a western with lizards, reptiles and amphibians and few other beast thrown in. A spaghetti western with the director of "Pirates of the Caribbean" Gore Verbinski and the incredible voice of Johnny Depp (who seems to be making more and more movies for his kids). Visually incredibly stunning, and I actually forget it is animated movie and appreciated as a great movie. There is a cameo of Clint Eastwood as well!! An unusual story and a interesting character in Rango makes this movie a enjoyable movie to watch for kids and Adults alike!!! We all enjoyed it except for the 2 year old who prefers to be mobile at all times!!! Watch it!!
Rating - Good - well made didn't fall asleep during the movie.

Friday Music - The Smiths / Morrissey
Fronted by Morrissey and guitar by Johnny Marr started in the early 80's. At times humorous and haunting music with long titles for songs. My favorite is still "Heaven Only Knows How Miserable I am" or something like that!

Black Swan
This is a movie I have to confess, I watched it because my missus wanted to, and I made very little complaints or sarcastic comments (I was really tempted though!!!) I was amazed I didn't fall asleep, it was well scripted, great actors and the story kept you on. But I just didn't enjoy it.
It was "Trainspotting" for ballet, not realizing what is reality anymore, however I did prefer "Trainspotting" a lot better.Emm maybe I should of reviewed "Trainspotting" instead........Well in my opinion go watch "Trainspotting" instead !!!

Friday Music - Kitaro
Kitaro (Japanese Masanori Takahashi) a new age multi instrumental, zone out, meditation music, I listened to in the 90's. His music was most popular than and was heard at malls, events and scores for movies, especially in Asia. When he first entered Malaysia for a concert in those days, rumor was he had trouble entering due to his long hair. I just realised he did some Christmas songs as well.
